Hillcrest comprises of three self contained flats available for holiday lettings. Hillcrest faces the sea with breathtaking coastal views and is surrounded by National Trust land. Situated on the outskirts of the village of Mortehoe near Woolacombe.
The house is within a 2 minute walk from all the necessary shopping facilities including a bakery, greengrocer, post office, deli, three pubs and two restaurants all of which serve excellent food.
The ancient village of Mortehoe is the perfect place for those in search of a quiet retreat. A calm cliff-top village with spectacular views, Mortehoe is listed in the Doomsday Book and has a number of interesting features including a rare barrel-roofed thirteen-century church. Mortehoe is surrounded by wonderful scenery, much of it part of a Voluntary Marine Conservation Area which is a haven for wild flowers and animals which fill the area with colour and movement. It is easily accessible from the M5 Motorway and the A361 Barnstaple Link Road via Braunton-Woolacombe-Mortehoe. Morte Point is the subject of shepherd David Kennard's video "A Year In the Life Of A Sheepdog".
Accommodation
Each holiday flat is self contained, with its own entrance, centrally heated, wholly double glazed, furnished and equipped with fitted carpets, cooker and microwave, fridge, colour television & video, blankets, pillows and duvets. Each flat has its own patio with garden furniture and overlooks the sea.
All beds have interior sprung mattresses and are equipped with duvets, pillows and blankets. It is necessary to bring your own sheets, pillowcases and towels, or duvet covers if you prefer.
Dogs are welcome by prior appointment.
Flat One (Ground Floor) - 5 people

Large Double Aspect Lounge with double glazed picture window,
overlooking the sea. Colour television and video. Patio doors to terrace.
Kitchen with dining area. Pine table and 6 chairs, Full size gas cooker,
fridge/freezer, vacuum cleaner, china, cutlery, cooking utensils, dishwasher,
microwave, iron and board.
Bedroom 1 with double glazed patio door to terrace overlooking the sea.
Double bed,(5ft) cot and wash basin.
Bedroom 2 with twin beds overlooking the sea.
Bedroom 3 with one single bed.
Bathroom with bath, separate shower and hand basin. Separate toilet and basin
adjacent.
Flat Two (First Floor) - 5 people

Sitting/Dining Room with double glazed picture windows, overlooking
the sea. Colour television and video. Sofa and 2 easy chairs, dining table and
chairs.
Kitchen with electric cooker, fridge/freezer, china, cutlery and cooking
utensils, small breakfast bar, iron and board, vacuum cleaner and microwave.
Bedroom 1 with double glazed picture window overlooking the sea. Double
bed.
Bedroom 2 with three single beds, wash basin and cot.
Bathroom with bath, shower and hand basin. Separate toilet and basin adjacent. Airing cupboard.
Flat Three (Top Floor) - 4 people

Sitting/Dining Room with double glazed picture window overlooking the
sea. Sofa and easy chair. Dining table and chairs. Colour television and video.
Kitchen Area fully equipped with full size electric cooker, refrigerator,
vacuum cleaner, iron and board, cutlery, china and cooking utensils and
microwave.

About the area
Grunta Bay and Morte Point are a few minutes walk away and the three mile stretch of Woolacombe's famous sandy beach is approximately one mile away! Putsborough, Croyde, Saunton, Braunton and Barnstaple are within easy reach. Visit the The local National Trust property at Arlington Court. Trips to Lundy can be taken from Ilfracombe or Bideford and the market Town of Barnstaple is close by.
Woolacombe has won the England for Excellence Gold Award for best family resort and the Best British Beach as seen in the Mail on Sunday - October 2000. Putsborough beach at one end and Woolacombe at the other end of the bay has been voted one of Britain's best and lies between Morte Point and Baggy Point. This 3 mile stretch of golden sand has won both the Blue Flag and Premier Seaside Beach Awards for its cleanliness, water quality and facilities.
