Whimbrels is situated in an area of outstanding natural beauty, within 5 minutes walk of the safe bathing beach of Daymer Bay, and 20 minutes walk along the cliff top to the busy surfing village of Polzeath. With its excellent views to Daymer Bay and over the estuary, and within walking distance of the sea, Whimbrels is perfectly placed for touring Cornwall, and provides an ideal accommodation for golfers, sailors, walkers and surfers.
The garden is lawned, and the house has a terrace in front. There are
wonderful views to Brae Hill and Daymer Bay, and up the Camel Estuary to
Padstow. Both Daymer Bay and Greenaway are within easy walking distance.
Polzeath is about 20 minutes walk along the nearby Cornwall Coastal Path.
Padstow is a ferry ride across the estuary from the nearby village of Rock a
ferry ride across the estuary. Sailing, surfing, fishing and walking are all
popular pursuits in the local area.
Accommodation
The Bungalow has been newly refurbished to a high standard throughout.
Sitting room/dining room/kitchen:- all open plan, with a breakfast bar;
Utility room, Sun room.
Bedroom 1:- Twin
beds and an ensuite shower room. All bedrooms have fitted
wardrobes and are decorated to a high standard.
Bedroom 2:- Double bed (5')
Bedroom 3:- Bunk beds and 1 single bed. This room also a collapsible cot.
Bath/shower room:-
Bedroom 4:- Twin beds. This bedroom has its own shower room.

Around the area
Nearby Rock offers superb sailing, water-skiing, golf at the well known links course of St. Enodoc, and excellent dining, including the Michelin starred Black Pig Restaurant.
From
Rock, the ferry runs
daily to the fishing port of
Padstow, where Rick
Steins’s internationally acclaimed Seafood Restaurant is just one of the places
to eat. Fishing trips can be booked from both
Rock and
Padstow.

Other tourist attractions within an easy drive of Whimbrels include the Eden Project; historic Tintagel, reputed to be the home of King Arthur; the Camel Cycle Trail, which follows the old railway line from Padstow to Bodmin; and National Trust properties at Lanhydrock, and Trerice.
The busy market town of Wadebridge has a cinema and excellent shopping facilities.
Further afield, the National Maritime Museum at Falmouth, the Tate at St. Ives, the National Marine Aquarium at Plymouth and numerous other attractions ensure that a holiday at Whimbrels can be as action packed or relaxing as you wish to make it.
