Self Catering Holiday Cottage in  Wiltshire Village.
 

"Next Door" is a 4 bedroomed detached holiday home in the attractive village of Dilton Marsh Just off the A36 between Bath and Warminster and 1 mile from the Somerset border.

This house has chickens and sheep for neighbours, ample parking space and countryside instead of motorways."

Accommodation

The house has recently been extended, totally refurbished, and is fully equipped with all modern facilities and comprises of:-

Lounge:- The lounge is spacious, beautifully decorated and comfortably furnished.

Kitchen/Diner:- Spacious and well fitted and fully equipped.

Bedrooms:-  2 double bedrooms (1 en-suite) - 2 twin bedrooms - 1 family bathroom (with shower) - 2 shower rooms (1 on ground floor).There are also two folding beds available.

Gas central heating, Digital TV - DVD - video - Hi -Fi system - American top load washer and tumble dryer - Dishwasher - Power showers - Microwave - Cot and high chair - Barbeque.

Return each day to the comfort of this pretty house and throw open the French windows for a barbeque, or on those cooler evenings let the instant flame fireplace provide cosy warmth.

Opposite the house is a sports field and children's play area. There are many walks locally and good pubs and restaurants with excellent food surround the village.

Dilton Marsh

Dilton Marsh is a thriving village with a pub, Post Office, hairdresser, grocery, fish and chip shop, and Chinese takeaway!
 
The Village has good transport links:-  with a local bus service and a rural request stop train station made famous by John Betjeman's poem on the subject. Nearby Westbury has a mainline station with direct links to Paddington and Waterloo (90 mins).

Enjoy visiting Avebury, Bath, Bristol, Castle Combe, Frome, Glastonbury, Lacock, Longleat, Marlborough, Salisbury, Stonehenge, Stourhead, Wells and Wilton. National Trust Properties and English Heritage sites abound!

Visit unique shops in Bath, Devizes and Salisbury. Splash out in shopping centres like The Mall Cribbs Causeway Bristol, Clarke's Village in Street and McArthur Glen Designer Outlet centre Swindon.

Paultons Park:-  Mini Alton Towers, all ages but with special rides for smaller children. Near Salisbury.

Activities around the area

Cycling:-  This is a great area for cycling- there is a super cycleway along the Kennet and Avon Canal which forms part of the larger "Wiltshire Cycleway"

Walking:- The whole area is littered with paths, bridleways and tracks or you can walk beside the River Avon and the Kennet and Avon canal - taking refreshment along the way!

Climbing and caving:-  Explore the Mendip Hills. The highs and lows of Cheddar Gorge and caves, Wookey Hole and areas like Priddy with typical village fairs.

Horse riding:- There is a large choice of facilities including lessons and trekking.

Fishing:- Well stocked lakes, around the area.
