provides peace and privacy with superb views down the valley to the sea.
Located 4 miles from the historic coastal resort of Lyme Regis with its
famous cob harbour. There are six beautiful cottages to
provide a relaxing and comfortable base at any time of the year. This 65-acre
farm setting is ideal for families. Nature lovers will enjoy the
opportunity to spot wild deer, rare birds and badgers, and the direct access to
the adjoining Forestry Commission Land with many walks and trails leading to
Iron Age Forts, and the sea and beyond.
The Cotages
7 holiday letting cottages enjoying views down the valley to the sea (Accommodating from 4-6 people).
The cottages have been converted from traditional stone barns and include such features as exposed roof trusses and are centrally heated by LPG gas fired boilers
Each kitchen is equipped with a range of modern wall and base
cupboards, electric cookers, microwave ovens, fridge/freezers. All cottages have
colour television and have feature electric fires. The cottages have outside
seating areas with panoramic countryside views down the valley to the sea. The
cottages all have baths with showers over.
The car park for the cottages is set away from the buildings and is laid to chippings providing ample parking.

Each cottage is equipped with a range of modern wall and base cupboards, electric cookers, microwave ovens, fridge/freezers. The Cottages all have baths with showers. All cottages have colour television and have feature electric fires. All have outside seating areas with panoramic countryside views down the valley to the sea.

The Farmhouse - Sleeps 10 - 14
The Farmhouse is available for lettings sleeps 10-14
people in 4 up to six bedrooms. Dogs by arrangement .

Equestrian Centre - Set in 65 acres of pasture and paddocks including woodland.
Indoor menage , associated tack rooms and 4 internal loose
boxes,

stable yard with 11 timber loose boxes and outdoor all-weather arena. Bridle
path leading out onto Forestry Commission land for riding for the Equestrian
Centre.

About the area
Higher Pound Farm is located in the small parish of Monkton Wyld. The nearest
public house, 1 and a half miles away, The Hunter’s Lodge Inn on the A35 is
located in the hamlet of Raymonds Hill which also has a local Post Office/Store.
The thatched public house of the The Bottle inn is 3 miles away at Marshwood and
is well known for good food within the area. Further amenities and facilities
can be found at Lyme Regis, including Primary/Junior School, Nursery, Pubs,
Shops, Theatre, Cinema and Post Office.
The market town of Axminster is 4 miles away with supermarket and main railway station on the London/Waterloo rail service. Birdport is 8 miles to the east, along with the county town of Dorchester (31 miles). Exeter is 26 miles to the west.
Places to visit
The picturesque fishing villages of West Bay, Lyme Regis, Lulworth Cove, Beer and Branscombe are also easily reached.
The property has easy access onto the A35 to explore the picturesque East Devon and Dorset coastline with such coastal resorts of Sidmouth, Budleigh Salterton and Weymouth being close by.
