A selection of well equipped cottages set in 40 acres of pasture and woodland – within a beautiful valley close to Paignton, Totnes and Torquay. Bordering the South Hams area of South Devon, an area of outstanding natural beauty, Newbarn Farm boasts spectacular panoramic views all the way to Dartmoor.

Newbarn Farm Graded 4 STARS by the English Tourist Council, Newbarn Farm’s cottages sleep 2 -12 people. Four of the cottages are newly built, others are apartment style within the large farmhouse, all of which are self contained.

They are extremely well furnished, offering comfort of a high standard. Guests often comment on how peaceful and tranquil the farm is even though only a few miles from the nearest seaside town, Paignton. It helps having a half mile private track!

Guests are free to roam over the land and through the woods, taking in the abundance of wildlife – buzzards, herons, mallards and the odd cormorant are daily visitors. For dusk walkers, sightings of the resident badgers and rabbits are not uncommon.

For resident guests there are reduced rates for daily/weekly fishing on the property’s 6 coarse fishing lakes and also unlimited use of a neighbouring leisure complex – equipped with modern gym, sauna, steam room, indoor swimming pool and children’s pool. Summer 2006 will see the completion of a much improved outdoor play area, sporting an adult sized trampoline with safety net together with slides and swings.

The Cottages

All Cottages and apartments, have the following equipment provided and more:- Bed linen, towels, tea towels, electric hob, turbo oven, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, all cooking equipment, rechargeable torch, TV & video, CD/cassette/radio, steam iron & ironing board, hair dryer, patio furniture with picnic sets, charcoal BBQs and central heating for the winter months. On-site laundry facilities – coin operated washing machines and tumble dryer, plus rotary lines.

For those wishing to spread their wings there are historic towns, expansive moors, picture-postcard villages and heritage rich cities close by, just waiting to be discovered.

Angling Centre

A 6 coarse fishing lakes open to day ticket fishing – stocked with carp, perch, roach, tench, perch, bream and eels. Special prices and concessions are available to holiday residents. Six ponds and lakes set in a beautiful sheltered valley close to Paignton, Torquay, Totnes and the South Hams area of South Devon.

Quality coarse fishing suitable for either the pleasure or specimen angler. A host of different lakes which are suitable for beginners, juniors or experts. Free tuition given to anglers hiring equipment.
