The Owners

Mevagissey ("Meva") is somewhere our family has had long links, starting during World War 2. My Auntie Marjorie (Anderson) was evacuated to St. Austell along with hundreds of other war time children placed all over Cornwall. This was the government's idea to escape the consequences of the blitz across Britain. My grandparents would travel down from Bristol to visit their daughter and would always stay in Meva. Subsequently the whole family would come to Meva and stay on Penwarne Farm, which is towards Portmellon. I have fond memories as a child and teenager of these holidays, hence the reason for buying the cottage in the first place.

We are pleased to say this cottage is not part of any travel company (and never will be). It is a family run cottage intended for use by families.

Sandra Knott, your contact caretaker (and all round great person!), owners Adrian and Sally Knott would be pleased to have you as their guests.
