Bluefolds Highland Holiday Cottages are situated on a hillside in open farmland, with stunning panoramic mountain views across Glenlivet to the Cairngorm National Park mountains. They are about 1 mile from the B9009 Dufftown to Tomintoul Road. To help locate them, they are east of Aviemore, south of Elgin and west of Aberdeen. The Cairngorm National Park is largest in Britain and encompasses the Cairngorm and the Grampian Highlands and possesses many of the highest peaks in Scotland. Our four self catering holiday cottages have an unrivalled location in remote, rural Glenlivet, Grampian. Glenlivet is a must see destination with a huge range of wildlife, beautiful rivers; the Avon and the Livet; varied walks by rivers or on hills and mountains and not forgetting the quiet roads which makes driving a joy.
Folds Cottage sleeps 2-8
This exceptional quality cottage has recently been redecorated and re-carpeted and has a very high standard of cleanliness. Folds cottage has patio doors to enjoy those stunning mountain views. It is double glazed with a modern kitchen, centrally heated and comfortably furnished with CD/tape/radio player, digital satellite TV with video and DVD players. Folds has a coal fired stove in the kitchen. Linen, towels and t-towels are included. Cot, high chair and baby bath are available free. Barbecue and patio furniture included.
Downstairs a large lounge/dining room:- with
a separate kitchen with coal fired stove which heats radiators in lounge and
bathroom.
The kitchen includes:- hob, double oven, microwave, fridge, freezer and dishwasher; separate utility room with washing machine and tumble dryer.
Bedrooms:- A double bedroom with ensuite shower room with toilet and wash basin; bathroom with bath, toilet, wash basin and shower are also downstairs. Upstairs 2 family rooms with 1 double and 1 single bed with wash basins.
Aberlour Cottage sleeps 2-5
This high quality cottage has recently been redecorated and
re-carpeted and has a very high standard of cleanliness. Aberlour cottage, part
of the former steading building, has patio doors to enjoy those stunning
mountain views. It is double glazed with a modern kitchen, centrally heated and
comfortably furnished with CD/tape/radio player, digital satellite TV and Video.
Aberlour has a coal fired stove as a feature in the lounge. Linen, towels and
t-towels are included. Cot, high chair and baby bath are available free.

lounge/dining area, the kitchen includes electric cooker, microwave, fridge and
washing machine; shower room with toilet and basin and 1 twin bed room.

Dronach Cottage - sleeps 2-6

of the former steading building, has patio doors to enjoy those stunning
mountain views. It is double glazed with a modern kitchen, centrally heated and
comfortably furnished with CD/tape/radio player, digital satellite TV and DVD.
Dronach has a coal fired stove as a feature in the lounge. Linen, towels and
t-towels are included. Cot, high chair and baby bath are available free.

All on one level:- Glenlivet has a large open plan lounge/dining area, the raised level kitchen is up 4 steps and includes a washing machine, electric cooker, microwave and fridge/freezer; bathroom with bath, shower, toilet and basin.
Bedrooms:- There are 2 large bedrooms with 1 double and 1 single bed and 1 double room.
Around the area
Glenlivet is a fantastic area for viewing birds, wildlife and wild flowers. After you have enjoyed the resident rabbits, sheep, buzzards and deer, touring is easy from the cottages.
Ben Rinnes (left) is a landmark in this area and can be seen from all angles as you drive towards Dufftown or Aberlour from the cottages and can even be viewed from Spey Bay on the Moray Firth coast.
You can enjoy a wonderful holiday in the
remote wilderness area of the Cairngorm National Park at any time of year.
This is an ideal area for walking by
the river Livet or walking or cycling on the waymarked trails on the Glenlivet
estate and enjoying wonderful wildlife. There are excellent opportunities for
golfing, fishing, sking at the Lecht or Cairngorms and for touring the castle
and whisky trails of Grampian. Relax while driving on quiet roads, off the
beaten track in North East Scotland.
Visits the castles such as Balmoral, Braemar, Crathes
Huntly,
and castle Urquhart on
Loch Ness or cities such as Aberdeen, Elgin, Forres and Inverness.
In Winter enjoy snow covered mountains, wildlife and walks in Glenlivet in the Cairngorm National Park.
