Taigh Geal, (Gaelic for White House) is a traditional self catering cottage, is beautifully situated on the west of Loch Ness, at Lewiston, only 30 minutes from Inverness.

It is an ideal place to relax; within walking distance of Loch Ness and Urquhart Castle and a great centre for touring Inverness, Loch Ness the Moray Firth (its Dolphins and many golf courses) the Western and North Western Highlands and across the sea to Skye.
The cottage is of traditional stone construction and is about 100 years old and has been recently renovated to a high standard providing an idyllic holiday home for a couple, but can sleep up to four.

Accommodation
Double bedroom:-
Comfortably furnished with views of the garden. For your comfort there is a dual control electric blanket.Lounge with dining area:-
TV/video, and music centre with a collection of videos, tapes and CDs for your entertainment and a selection of books. There is a solid fuel fire for the chilly evenings.Fully equipped kitchen:-
with electric cooker, fridge freezer, sandwich toaster, microwave, and a coffee maker.
Toilet:-
with a generous shower with seat.Radiators in all rooms.
Annexed to the cottage:-
is a utility unit fitted with a washing machine, tumble drier, steam press (table mounted iron) and a clothes rack with heater for drying clothes.
The spacious garden:-
leads down to the river Coiltie which flows into Loch Ness, there is a bench overlooking the river where you can enjoy the wonderful views.There is a wooden deck area a few paces from the cottage and a barbecue to
enjoy alfresco meals.

Around the area
The village of Lewiston is ideally located to cater for all tastes, whether you enjoy fishing, walking (forestry, glen or hill), or have an interest in Scottish History, Wildlife or Scenery.
Lewiston is adjacent to Drumnadrochit which has various eating places, tourist information centre and of course Loch Ness Monster Exhibitions.
A free fishing permit is available on Loch Meiklie, 15 minutes away.
Places to visit
The central location is ideal for exploring the West Coast (mountains and beaches), Skye, Central Highlands and Moray Firth (Dolphins, beaches and golf courses - All these three attractions can be within walking distance of each other).

Price List - April 2005 - March 2006 Bookings are from Saturday to Saturday.
The price for the cottage is all inclusive (linen, fuel, telephone - honesty box).
